GREEN BAY - A group of students combined music with hope on Saturday, to solve a growing community issue.
"A Night of Hope" was held at the Harmony Cafe in Green Bay. It was part of a project designed by 10 area high school students, to raise awareness of suicide and self-harm in Brown County.
Organizers say the students wanted to go beyond educating the crowd.
"They also believe in the healing power of music and the healing power of community. So that's why they decided to come up with or produce A Night of Hope," said Dan Terrio, program manager for the Brown County Teen Leadership Program.
The students completed the project as part of the 2013 Class of Brown County Teen Leadership - a program of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.
